• Own end-to-end design work within the product area, from problem definition through delivery and iteration;
• Build an understanding of users, workflows, product context, and business and technical constraints;
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to clarify problems, goals, assumptions, and success measures;
• Conduct user research and validation to inform design decisions and reduce uncertainty;
• Explore multiple solutions, evaluate trade-offs, and communicate clear rationale;
• Design intuitive, accessible, and consistent workflows that simplify complex financial and operational tasks;
• Evolve the design system across components, patterns, documentation, contribution models, governance, and adoption processes;
• Use customer feedback and product data to evaluate outcomes and iterate on solutions;
• Share knowledge and feedback with the wider design team;
• Help teams adopt shared standards consistently.

• Three or more years of experience designing digital products in cross-functional product teams;
• Experience autonomously owning design work from problem definition through delivery and iteration;
• Strong interaction design and information architecture skills for complex workflows or data-heavy experiences;
• Good product thinking, connecting user needs, product goals, business context, and technical constraints;
• Experience conducting user research and validating solutions with users;
• Hands-on experience building or significantly evolving a comprehensive design system, including reusable components and patterns, documentation, contribution processes, governance, and adoption;
• Strong collaboration and communication skills when partnering with Engineers and other designers;
• Strong organisation and autonomy, with the ability to prioritise work, respond to changing context, and proactively move projects forward;
• Nice to have: Experience designing AI-assisted workflows or conversational experiences, experience working in fintech, spend management, procurement, or internal tooling, familiarity with experimentation and data-informed product development, experience working with coded component libraries or closely partnering with front-end engineers on design-system implementation.
