Flix develops technology-driven mobility products, including software that supports FlixTrain railway operations and makes travel smarter, more sustainable, and more affordable.

• Conduct and synthesise user research through user labs, surveys, interviews, and usability testing;
• Shape ideas, validate assumptions, and identify opportunities with product and engineering teams;
• Apply research frameworks and use metrics to inform design decisions;
• Facilitate collaboration across product, engineering, and business stakeholders;
• Develop wireframes, concepts, features, and interactive prototypes;
• Translate complex operational workflows into clear, learnable, and efficient interfaces for expert users;
• Follow and maintain UI guidelines;
• Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the design system;
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and product owners to develop innovative, user-friendly products.

• 5+ Years of experience in UX/UI design for web applications;
• Experience designing complex operational or enterprise software;
• Upper-intermediate German and English for user research and communication with German- and English-speaking users and stakeholders;
• Strong user-centric mindset and deep understanding of user needs and behaviours;
• Experience planning, conducting, and synthesising user research;
• Strong proficiency in Figma, visual design, prototyping, and usability testing;
• Ability to create high-fidelity designs using an internal design system;
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, UX/UI expertise for complex software products, and an evidence-based design process;
• Comfortable working across multiple teams, managing priorities, and adapting to changing contexts;
• Nice to have: willingness to apply despite not meeting 100% of the requirements.
