Product Designer

FlySto is a startup project supported by JetBrains that provides a platform for pilots to store and analyze flight data. The service processes log files from avionics systems to visualize aircraft parameters, position, and orientation across web and mobile applications.

• Guide a small team of product designers to ensure productivity and high-quality results;
• Own the design direction and lead large-scale initiatives from vision and strategy through execution;
• Manage the design process hands-on, including research, problem framing, wireframing, prototyping, and UI delivery;
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, researchers, and stakeholders to define problems and align on goals;
• Communicate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders and the team;
• Conduct and analyze usability testing and user research to inform design solutions.

• Proficient in Figma;
• Ability to apply an existing brand’s visual language consistently within product interfaces;
• Ability to articulate design decisions, explain thought processes, and justify proposed solutions;
• Realistic understanding of personal strengths and areas for growth;
• Ability to participate actively in product discussions and cross-functional collaboration;
• Ability to guide tasks end to end, from design solution through implementation and user feedback;
• Comfort working in a highly iterative environment;
• Nice to have: Experience designing mobile applications, interest in aviation, pilot experience.
