• Design and evolve reusable components, patterns, foundations and libraries within Origami to reduce duplication and improve consistency;
• Contribute to system solutions across iOS, Android and web in hybrid environments;
• Identify opportunities for reusable patterns and system improvements based on product needs and team feedback;
• Support design work from problem framing through validation, documentation and handover using research, audits and feedback;
• Create documentation and specifications in Figma, Zeroheight and other system tooling, including variants, edge cases and usage guidance;
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable and aligned with implementation;
• Use and share design tokens across Figma and production code;
• Support designers and engineers through contribution and governance processes;
• Help teams adopt shared patterns and ways of working;
• Work with product teams to identify gaps, improve consistency and embed stronger system thinking across products;
• Support roadmap priorities that improve delivery efficiency, product quality and adoption;
• Maintain high standards of accessibility, craft and coherence across the system;
• Explore and apply AI-assisted tooling for prototyping, component definition and documentation;
• Contribute to making Origami usable within AI-assisted workflows based on tokens, documentation and reusable patterns;
• Collaborate with engineers on practical AI-assisted approaches to component development and documentation workflows.

• Strong product design craft across interaction design, visual design and prototyping;
• Experience working on or contributing to digital products or design systems;
• Experience designing across web and mobile, including familiarity with iOS and Android conventions and hybrid environments;
• Practical experience applying accessibility standards;
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and document work for design and engineering teams;
• Working understanding of HTML, CSS and accessible semantic markup;
• Ability to build relationships across product, engineering, editorial and brand teams;
• Comfortable collaborating through feedback, contribution and shared ways of working;
• Understanding of how design decisions affect system quality, consistency and maintainability;
• Up-to-date interest in how AI shapes design and development workflows;
• Experience using or exploring AI-assisted tools;
• Portfolio demonstrating strong product and systems thinking with meaningful impact;
• Experience working in Figma with component libraries, variables, tokens and prototyping;
• Experience creating or contributing to reusable components, patterns or guidance for digital products;
• Experience working closely with engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes;
• Experience working in cross-functional product delivery teams;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Interest in systems thinking, accessibility and emerging tooling;
• Nice to have: experience or interest in AI-assisted design or development workflows.

• 12-Month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave;
