Design System Manager

Pennylane provides accounting and financial software for small businesses and their accountants, helping entrepreneurs manage accounting and finance tasks and access key financial information. Its financial operating system serves more than 400,000 SMEs and over 4,500 accounting firms in France.

• Own the vision, roadmap, and governance of Purse as a product, evolving it toward an AI-ready future through milestone-driven releases
• Set and uphold quality standards for components, tokens, patterns, and accessibility; build system elements hands-on and provide craft direction to Design System Designers, reducing direct production as the team grows
• Drive adoption, measure system value, partner with the Design Ops Manager on shared priorities and with engineering on design-code parity, and report impact to leadership

• Будет плюсом: experience owning the vision and roadmap of a large-scale design system supporting 40+ designers and engineers across web, mobile, and tablet; balancing long-term vision with milestone-driven delivery; product sense applied to design systems; experience defining governance and contribution models; ability to maintain quality standards as contributions grow; comfort making tooling and infrastructure decisions with design ops and engineering; hands-on authorship of components, tokens, and patterns and maintenance of a Figma library; design-system craft, APIs, semantic naming, theming and multi-brand systems; ability to mentor individual-contributor designers; technical understanding of code implementation and production-first environments; expertise in AI-ready documentation, LLMs, code-generation agents, MCP and token automation; ability to drive adoption through presentations and communication; experience defining adoption and system-health metrics and reporting ROI; partnership with design, engineering, and product leadership; experience with B2B SaaS or fintech; familiarity with internationalization design challenges; experience with tokens pipelines such as Style Dictionary, Tokens Studio, or MCP-based pipelines; accessibility and inclusive-design experience; experience in fast-growing scale-ups; experience growing into people management of a design system team
