Data Scientist

Emerging Travel Group is a global travel-tech company that develops advanced online booking platforms for individual tourists, travel agents, and companies organizing business trips. The organization specializes in creating and distributing travel products, helping hoteliers showcase accommodations to a broad audience.

• Lead ML projects from hypothesis formulation and task setting to delivering measurable business impact;
• Manage the entire ML cycle, ensuring fast time-to-market and maintaining model quality in production;
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to build robust production data pipelines;
• Partner with Data Analysts to define business metrics and design or evaluate A/B tests;
• Translate business goals into mathematical models for rate matching, alternative search, multi-objective optimization, and cache freshness prediction;
• Develop, train, and validate machine learning models to test product hypotheses and improve the B2B user experience.

• 4+ Years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer;
• Ability to identify root business problems and translate objectives into clear ML tasks;
• Solid knowledge of classic machine learning including gradient boosting, classification, and regression;
• Proven experience with entity matching, recommendation systems, and ranking approaches;
• Confident experience working with massive datasets, excellent SQL skills, and practical experience with PySpark;
• Ability to write production-quality Python code, create tests, and deploy models using Airflow and microservices;
• Nice to have: Experience in TravelTech, E-commerce, or B2B APIs, basic NLP skills and text embeddings, experience with dynamic pricing or multi-objective optimization, strong foundation in probability theory and statistics.
