Data analyst in business intelligence

• Analyze, document and validate business requirements within Business Intelligence projects;
• Design and develop semantic models and data structures for reporting and analysis;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn business needs into insights and analytical solutions;
• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications, data models and transformation rules;
• Ensure the quality, consistency and integrity of the data used in analyses;
• Participate in and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities;
• Develop and optimize datasets, metrics and analytical models to support decision-making;
• Create functional and technical documentation associated with Business Intelligence solutions;
• Provide support and training to users of analytical tools;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting, modeling and data governance practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Management, Mathematics, Statistics or a similar field;
• More than 4 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst or in similar roles;
• Solid knowledge of SQL for data analysis, exploration and transformation;
• Experience in dimensional modeling for Business Intelligence, namely Star Schema and/or Snowflake Schema;
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret data from transactional systems and analytical platforms;
• Experience building datasets, semantic models and analytical layers;
• Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar;
• Ability to translate business requirements into data models and technical specifications;
• Experience collaborating with technical teams, functional areas and business stakeholders;
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration;
• Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking and results orientation;
• Good ability to communicate and present insights;
• Knowledge of English (minimum B2).
