Java developer in backend applications

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring scalable, robust and high-quality solutions.
• Design, implement and maintain RESTful APIs for integration between systems and services.
• Participate in implementing new features and in evolutionary and corrective maintenance, ensuring good development practices.
• Work with relational databases, ORMs, and integrations with external services and distributed systems.
• Develop unit tests, participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of application architecture, performance and quality.

• Between 2 and 5 years of experience in Java development.
• Solid experience with Java 11+, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, and the use of Spring Data JPA and/or Hibernate.
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle).
• Knowledge of layered architectures, object-oriented development principles and integration with REST services.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Git/Gitflow, applying Clean Code principles and knowledge of design patterns.
• Building relationships based on closeness and empathy with colleagues, clients and candidates (not just with technologies, languages and platforms). Team spirit and a good sense of humour.
