Business analyst in energy trading

• You trade electricity and gas across all relevant markets, from long-term hedging to daily trading on the day-ahead, intraday and ex-post markets.
• You translate production and consumption forecasts into smart trading decisions that keep the portfolio balanced and limit risks.
• You deploy our flexible assets, including batteries, as intelligently as possible to extract maximum value from the different markets.
• You support Account Management in determining the value of long-term contracts with our energy producers.
• You contribute to the further automation of our trading strategies and take our current approach to the next level.
• You turn portfolio and trading insights into clear pricing models and reports for internal stakeholders.

• You have a university-level working and reasoning ability in a quantitative, technical or economic/business-administration field.
• You have programming experience (for example, in Python and SQL) and are skilled in data analysis and quantitative modeling.
• You have a strong affinity with financial or trading concepts, such as risk management and hedging.
• You are proactive and entrepreneurial. You don't wait for tasks to be assigned, but take the lead and act on the opportunities and risks you identify.
• You like to dig deep when something deviates or stands out; you prefer to investigate things thoroughly yourself rather than just report on them.
• You communicate clearly, can explain complex topics simply to different teams and are confident about speaking up.
• You work accurately, maintain an overview and make the right choices quickly during busy periods.

• A salary depending on your work experience, between €3,000 and €3,700 gross per month, based on 40 hours, excluding holiday pay.
