Head of Sales (High-Risk Payments)

Our client is a licensed payment service provider with multiple licenses across the EEA, serving merchants in high-risk industries. The company has been on the market for about two years and is now building its sales function to scale merchant acquisition.

You will build the sales function from the ground up: set the strategy, choose the tools and processes, hire the team, and personally close strategic deals. This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership of revenue and direct influence on how the business grows.

• Define the strategy for acquiring high-risk merchants and build the merchant pipeline.
• Set up the sales process, CRM, automation and reporting from scratch.
• Set sales plans, targets and KPIs, and own their delivery.
• Hire, coach and manage the sales team.
• Lead negotiations and personally close key merchant deals.
• Build long-term relationships with strategic clients and partners.
• Analyse results and improve conversion at every stage of the funnel.

• Experience in high-risk PSP, payments, Forex, iGaming/gambling or another high-risk payments environment.
• Background in a Head of Sales, Head of Account Management or senior commercial role, including managing a team.
• Track record in B2B merchant sales and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience building sales processes and setting KPIs you were accountable for.
• Strong understanding of merchants’ commercial needs in high-risk industries.
• Fluent English (C1 or higher), Russian is a plus.
