OneView Commerce provides a headless commerce platform for physical retail. It enables large retailers to deploy store experiences quickly and build their own experiences on a headless transaction engine designed for physical stores.

• Design test cases, scenarios, and scripts for a feature area according to the quality engineering team’s criteria and standards;
• Build and maintain automated API- and interface-level tests within existing frameworks, extending coverage as the product grows;
• Keep regression coverage current as the product changes, working within the suite owned by the Senior Test Automation Engineer;
• Participate in refinement, design, and specification reviews; challenge untestable acceptance criteria and get them corrected before development starts;
• Run tests in the pipeline and analyze reports, traces, and logs;
• Diagnose failures and determine whether the cause is the product, test, or environment before raising a defect;
• Raise actionable defects and follow them through triage, fixes, and retesting;
• Manage test data and environment conditions to make test results repeatable;
• Conduct exploratory testing to find gaps in scripted coverage and record what was tested;
• Contribute to performance, accessibility, security, and resilience testing;
• Report coverage, defect trends, and remaining risks clearly enough to support release decisions;
• Support less experienced QA engineers through example, reviews, and guidance.

• 4+ Years of software QA experience, including at least two years writing and maintaining automated tests;
• Fluent in formal test design techniques, including equivalence partitioning, boundary analysis, state transition, and decision tables; able to select the appropriate technique;
• Understand the test pyramid and the risks of over-reliance on end-to-end tests;
• Experience building and maintaining reliable automated tests with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or an equivalent framework;
• Experience working in a shared repository with test code branched, reviewed, and merged like other code;
• Experience finding and fixing flaky tests, and explaining their causes and how they were made deterministic;
• API and service-level testing experience with Postman, REST Assured, or an equivalent, including deriving tests from interface specifications and stubbing or mocking dependencies;
• Able to read application code to understand test coverage and identify likely bug locations;
• Able to diagnose CI/CD failures using logs, traces, and dashboards in Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, or equivalent tools, and write specific, reproducible, actionable defect reports;
• Experience owning test data and environment setup and making test runs repeatable;
• Experience running performance, accessibility, and security tests with guidance from a more senior colleague, and explaining the results;
• Experience challenging untestable acceptance criteria and getting them changed before development starts;
• Experience testing data and transaction integrity, including arithmetic and rounding, idempotency, duplicate submissions, partial failures, and calls that succeed on one side but fail on the other;
• Experience testing enterprise software deployed to a major public cloud within an agile, Scrum-based SDLC and STLC;
• Independent and comfortable setting direction and implementing improvements; this role may not suit candidates who prefer to be given a roadmap;
• Nice to have: experience testing software in physical locations with offline or intermittent device connectivity, automation experience across multiple frameworks, behaviour-driven testing with Cucumber or SpecFlow, test management tools such as Qase, TestRail, Xray, or Zephyr, performance and load testing with k6, JMeter, Gatling, or Artillery, WCAG accessibility testing with tools such as axe, using AI in testing, helping less experienced colleagues improve, ISTQB or equivalent testing qualification.
