QA engineer (auto) in payments

BEC is a financial technology company creating IT solutions for Danish banks. Its solutions enable bank customers to invest online, take out loans, and transfer money. BEC builds and maintains critical components of Danish and European payments infrastructure, including high-volume, real-time payment processing systems.

• Drive the team’s test automation agenda and increase automation coverage across systems
• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for APIs, Java backend services, and Angular user interfaces
• Ensure quality across complex, distributed payment flows, including real-time and batch processing
• Validate ISO 20022 payment messages and flows across MQ-based integrations
• Promote quality best practices and help the team adopt a strong QA and automation mindset
• Collaborate with developers to integrate testing into development processes and CI/CD pipelines
• Investigate defects using logs, data, and system insights to identify root causes
• Improve testing and automation frameworks, tooling, and ways of working

• Strong experience with test automation in modern systems
• Experience testing APIs and backend services, such as REST and messaging systems
• Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured, or similar
• ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent
• Experience testing web applications, preferably Angular-based user interfaces
• Knowledge of MQ, such as IBM MQ, and message-based integrations
• Ability to validate XML/JSON and schemas, including XSD/JSON Schema
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests
• Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot using logs and system data
• Good collaboration skills and ability to work across development, QA, and business analysis
• Structured, proactive, and quality-driven mindset
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Будет плюсом: Experience with payments such as SEPA, Instant Payments, STEP2, and ISO 20022, understanding of real-time systems and high-availability architectures, experience with z/OS, DB2, or other mainframe technologies, programming skills in Java and/or TypeScript
