qa engineer (auto) for mobile payment applications

• Architect, develop, and maintain test automation using Sauce Labs, primarily with TypeScript;
• Design and maintain test plans for existing and new application features and integrate them with Xray and Jira;
• Execute, maintain, and improve test cases in Xray and enhance their workflow integration;
• Test setups with peripheral hardware such as card payment terminals, receipt printers, and barcode scanners;
• Test inter-device communication between multiple in-house applications, including customer-facing displays and helper applications for gastronomy;
• Develop and maintain cross-team test scenarios involving API communication and database operations;
• Actively use and adapt AI tools in daily QA tasks;
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to achieve optimal test coverage;
• Focus on E2E multiplatform testing coverage and system tests reflecting realistic customer and merchant experiences;
• Participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and improve code quality;
• Execute tests across multiple environments to ensure robustness and compatibility.

• 4+ Years of professional experience in mobile application testing on iOS and Android;
• Experience with test automation using TypeScript and platforms such as Sauce Labs, Appium, or similar;
• Experience designing test cases and test plans according to industry standards;
• Strong knowledge of data structures and databases, particularly PostgreSQL and SQLite;
• Solid understanding of API types and experience testing APIs with tools such as Postman;
• Experience testing hardware devices and inter-device communication;
• Experience in release management and communication;
• Structured mindset and proactive approach to test planning ahead of development;
• Experience writing automated tests and defining test scenarios throughout the development lifecycle, with most testing performed through automation;
• Nice to have: Experience in the fintech or payment industry, retail, or gastronomy POS; experience with Playwright and Selenoid.

• Contract employment;
• Ability to work from the Berlin office twice a week for in-office device testing;
