Embedded Software Test Engineer (manual)

We are now expanding our aerospace software capability and are seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to support the verification and validation of safety‑critical embedded software developed to DO‑178C Level A.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to the software verification and validation lifecycle, ensuring our embedded systems meet the highest aerospace safety and quality standards. You will work closely with software, and hardware engineers to design, execute, and document verification activities in line with regulatory and customer requirements.

• Proven experience in software verification and validation in an aerospace or safety‑critical environment.
• Hands‑on experience applying DO‑178B/C practices, ideally to Level‑A.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and experience testing microcontroller‑based software and low‑level communication protocols.
• Ability to understand and assess C source code for testability (coding not required, but comprehension is).
• Ability to interpret hardware documentation and interface specifications.
• Must hold a British passport or have the right to work in the UK.
• Experience with structural coverage (e.g., MC/DC using Parasoft ideally, but LDRA, VectorCAST, Cantata, etc. is also acceptable).
• Familiarity with requirements and configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS, GitHub).
• Experience with HIL/PIL test setups.
• Knowledge of tool qualification under DO‑330.
