Octo Games is an international game development studio based in the Netherlands. It creates commercial games for the Steam audience, focusing on Adult Visual Novels and story-driven games, and supports projects from concept development through release and post-launch development.

• Plan the development process and create and maintain the project roadmap;
• Break down and assign tasks, manage priorities, and monitor deadlines;
• Coordinate the project team and ensure effective collaboration between participants;
• Plan team workload and manage project resources;
• Identify, assess, and manage risks throughout the development cycle;
• Remove blockers and resolve issues affecting project timelines, quality, or outcomes;
• Monitor task completion and ensure deliverables meet project requirements;
• Build, review, and improve production processes;
• Organize and facilitate planning sessions, syncs, retrospectives, and other regular team meetings;
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and transparent project status communication;
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and employee development.

• At least 2 years of experience managing game development projects;
• Understanding of the full game development cycle, from concept development to release and post-launch support;
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies and when to apply them;
• Experience planning projects and managing timelines, risks, resources, and budgets;
• Experience building, analyzing, and optimizing production workflows;
• Confident proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools;
• Strong organizational and communication skills;
• Ability to make decisions, set priorities, and stay focused in uncertain or changing circumstances;
• Ability to establish clear and effective communication between specialists from different disciplines;
• Responsible, proactive, and highly engaged approach to work;
• Willingness to work with 18+ content;
• English proficiency at A2 level or higher;
• Nice to have: experience working with art teams, PC projects, or outsourcing teams; experience working on Steam projects; experience coordinating art teams; experience in outsourcing or outstaffing game development; participation in the release of a commercial game project.
