project manager for technology transformation

Metroline provides ground passenger transportation services in London, England. The company delivers technology and transformation initiatives supporting infrastructure, applications, cloud, data and business change.

• Own the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent technology and transformation projects from initiation through go-live and benefits realisation;
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables and success criteria, and hold projects and stakeholders to them;
• Run the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements and functional specification, build, data migration, testing, cut-over and operational handover;
• Build and maintain project plans, milestone schedules and delivery roadmaps;
• Forecast accurately and keep delivery on track;
• Own the RAID log, drive mitigation, decisions and timely escalation;
• Manage project budgets and financials, controlling and forecasting spend with budget holders;
• Work within the PMO operating model using Freshservice, SharePoint and Power BI for project management and reporting;
• Manage third-party vendors, strategic partners and delivery teams, including supplier selection and contract delivery;
• Hold suppliers and delivery teams accountable for cost, quality and timelines;
• Communicate with technical teams and executive sponsors, surface problems early, drive decisions and translate between technical and business audiences.

• At least 5 years of project management experience;
• Proven track record delivering complex technology, infrastructure and transformation projects end to end in enterprise environments;
• Experience delivering ERP transformation programmes, including system implementation, integration, migration or business process transformation;
• Experience in audit, controls, regulatory or compliance-driven environments;
• Consulting, systems integration or professional services background;
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, structure complex programmes and impose delivery discipline;
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, third-party vendors and strategic partners;
• Strong governance, financial, RAID, planning and reporting skills;
• Excellent stakeholder management up to executive or C level, with confidence to challenge and escalate;
• PRINCE2, APM or PMP qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience;
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
• Self-sufficient and self-motivated;
• Awareness of Metroline's functions, operations and technology;
• Ability to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users;
• Logical analysis, creative problem-solving, adaptability, multitasking and troubleshooting skills;
• Nice to have: Transport, logistics or operationally critical sector experience.

• Salary depends on experience;
• 38 Hours per week, Monday to Friday;
