project manager for insurance transformation

Hiscox is an insurance company delivering strategic, operational, digital, and regulatory change initiatives across its European business.

• Act as the linking pin between the European business and functions, IT, and Group teams;
• Build productive relationships with managers and staff across the European business and IT;
• Develop and execute project plans covering requirements, resources, and dependencies;
• Apply European project governance and provide input on optimizing it;
• Support or lead project delivery against agreed goals, timelines, and budgets;
• Escalate problems and risks when needed;
• Contribute to metrics usage and monitoring to track progress and highlight issues;
• Coordinate project teams and support business analysts and SMEs in delivering agreed outcomes;
• Communicate frequently to align teams across Europe, IT, and Group;
• Support local business owners in European branches to drive change;
• Support or perform stakeholder management and keep stakeholders updated on project progress;
• Ensure delivered outcomes meet stakeholder needs;
• Support and lead change initiatives using Hiscox project management methodologies and best practices;
• Review business analysis outputs and help align deliverables with IT and Hiscox Europe strategies.

• Hold a master’s degree in Management, Economics, Engineering, or a similar field;
• Have at least 3 years of experience in strategic, operational, or technological consulting;
• Have experience supporting the full project lifecycle from initial concept through delivery, lessons learned, and benefits measurement;
• Have strong project management skills;
• Have experience participating in or leading projects using agile methodology;
• Have strong relationship-building, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills;
• Can build alignment across geographically distributed stakeholders;
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Can work in English at a professional business level without loss of meaning;
• Can work under pressure in a fast-paced, multicultural environment;
• Can navigate ambiguity, identify blockers, and work with others to resolve them;
• Demonstrate commitment to quality, service, and personal ownership;
• Show curiosity and a desire for continuous improvement and personal growth;
• Nice to have: experience with digital transformation projects, exposure to the insurance business, regulatory change in the insurance or financial industry, technology projects in complex multicultural organizations, PMP or CIPP/E certification, Lean methodologies, fluency in German, French, Spanish, Dutch, or Flemish.
