Project Manager

• Manage and deliver funded projects from initiation to completion, overseeing plans, stakeholders, compliance, reporting, and contracts, or contribute to specific components within larger multi-country programmes;
• Build and manage strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring engagement, collaboration, and effective communication across projects and programmes;
• Lead procurement, supplier and contractor management, holding partners accountable for delivery while guiding small teams to achieve project outcomes;
• Ensure financial compliance by supporting budgeting, monitoring expenditure, maintaining accurate financial records, and delivering timely financial reporting;
• Develop and deliver project management plans, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with senior stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes;
• Oversee data collection, quality assurance, analysis, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, providing accurate project insights and supporting evidence-based decision-making;
• Apply local context expertise to enhance project design and delivery, support knowledge sharing, and maintain partner insights to inform strategic development;
• Demonstrate accountability for fostering an inclusive, anti-racist culture by promoting equity, mitigating bias, supporting wellbeing, and actively embedding EDI and anti-racism principles through continuous learning and practice.

• Experience of managing projects from start to finish and familiarity with project life cycles;
• Experience of managing external stakeholders and using technology in project delivery;
• Good understanding and experience of supporting monitoring and evaluation;
• Demonstrable knowledge of local school level education system(s);
• Azerbaijani C1 level;
• C1/C2 English language proficiency;
• Bachelor's degree in English and/or Education;
• Candidates must have the pre-existing, legal right to work in Azerbaijan;
• Nice to have: Experience of managing teacher education projects (delivered online, face-to-face or blended), Master's Degree in English and/or Education, Foundation level project management qualification, B2 Russian language proficiency.
