Project manager

Within Grid Solutions, GE delivers communication solutions for critical infrastructure. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing and contractually executing projects from handover through the provisional acceptance certificate (PAC), ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and maximum profit/value.

• Manage project execution from the offer through the end of the warranty period, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), delivery and commissioning.
• Apply project management best practices (in accordance with the Project Management Handbook and specific product line instructions), with particular focus on handover reviews, project gate reviews and project closure.
• Contribute to the unit's operational performance through accurate forecasts of financial KPIs: revenue, cash flow and contribution margin.
• Act as the primary customer contact for contract execution.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations to the customer through clear feedback and consistent interaction (e.g. by phone, email, etc.), customer meetings, regular reviews, etc.
• Execute projects in collaboration with the Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement and Finance departments.
• Update the progress of action plans and revenue/cash flow forecasts monthly.
• Prepare and present project reviews.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and records of completed projects.
• Manage team resource planning and workload to ensure a billable utilization rate of 90% or more.
• Lead EHS/safety measures and performance: ensure full compliance with GE rules and processes and ensure that project teams (in-house and subcontracted) are properly trained and have the required qualifications.
• Support sales teams by sharing Lessons Learned (ROEs) that lead to optimized project costs and delivery times.
• Implement a contract management/change strategy in GEV's interest. Contribute to company growth by independently managing variation order proposals for the respective projects as needed.
• Act as a role model for GE leadership behaviors when carrying out roles and responsibilities.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic/telecommunications engineering from an accredited university or college, or equivalent.
• Industry knowledge. Previous experience in telecommunications/network or IP field activities.
• At least 5 years of project management experience in an EPC/Turnkey business.
• Ability to lead and motivate a project team of 3–6 people.
• Fluent German and English are required.
• Willingness to travel: 20%.
