• Develop, drive, and execute the end-to-end product vision for banking payments, covering local and international rails, multi-currency accounts, and local IBANs;
• Lead cross-functional agile teams through the product development lifecycle, including transaction lifecycle mapping, technical specifications, database isolation levels, event-driven architecture, and API design;
• Lead discovery and solution design for money-movement controls, clearing, settlement, financial ledgers, and safeguarding and reconciliation mechanics;
• Engage with Central Banks, clearing houses, BaaS partners, and Open Banking infrastructure such as VRP to identify payment opportunities;
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure payment features follow FCA/PRA, EMI, and local central bank regulations and to mitigate fraud and transaction risks;
• Optimize payment revenue drivers, including interchange, FX markups, premium payment features, and data enrichment, with Finance partnership on quarterly forecasting;
• Define and track product KPIs and OKRs covering activation, transaction velocity, liquidity and deposits, exception rates, and processing costs.

• 8+ Years of Product Management experience focused on core banking systems, payment rails, clearing and settlement infrastructure, or electronic money institutions;
• Strong technical understanding of global and local payment mechanics, including SEPA, Faster Payments, UPI, SWIFT, and Open Banking / PSD2 frameworks;
• Understanding of API design, transaction logging, race conditions, and edge cases in high-throughput core systems;
• Solid understanding of funds flow, ledger management, double-entry bookkeeping, and automated safeguarding and reconciliation processes;
• Strong knowledge of UK, EU, and global financial regulations, including FCA, PRA, EBA guidelines, AML/KYB compliance, and transaction reporting requirements;
• Strong understanding of SME financial challenges, including cash-flow management, payment acceptance, FX, and account reconciliation;
• Experience mentoring junior PMs, managing external banking providers and vendors, and aligning senior executive stakeholders;
• Proactive individual contributor able to combine financial strategy with hands-on technical data-flow execution.
