Head of commercial for restaurant partnerships

Yandex is looking for a Head of Commercial to lead our restaurant partnerships business in Qazaqstan for the Eats service. In this role, you will define and execute the commercial strategy, grow our partner network, build a high-performing team, and drive sustainable, profitable growth.

• Setting the commercial strategy for Qazaqstan, balancing growth, profitability, and partner sustainability
• Helping local teams build a strong, balanced partner portfolio and identify new business opportunities
• Building commercial processes that scale without compromising quality or partner experience
• Hiring, developing, and leading a commercial organization of 20+ people, directly and indirectly
• Supporting commercial teams in reaching sales targets while maintaining strong partner relationships
• Leading complex negotiations directly and coaching teams to close deals with top chains and key accounts
• Setting goals, prioritizing, delegating, and tracking performance with commercial managers
• Working with HQ commercial teams on fees, incentives, and reward structures
• Owning commercial KPIs together with the operations and marketing teams
• Growing revenue from restaurant partners through ads, promo placements, and other paid tools on the platform while developing new monetization offerings, attracting and developing talent, and improving commercial processes in line with business growth

• 5+ years of experience leading commercial teams
• A track record of negotiating multi-million contracts and working with C-level stakeholders
• Experience in a startup, scale-up, or similarly fast-paced environment
• Experience growing monetization or ads revenue, ideally in a marketplace or platform business
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to make decisions based on data, with sound judgment when data is incomplete
• A track record of meeting deadlines and taking ownership of outcomes
• Experience coaching and developing people
• Full professional proficiency in Qazaq and Russian
