CEO of a payment business in Denmark

The company operates a payment business entering the Danish market and is in the final stages of obtaining a Payment Institution (PI) licence.

• Take overall responsibility for the business and its development in the Danish market
• Support the company through the final stages of obtaining its PI licence
• Work with relevant regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
• Establish and oversee operational processes required to launch and develop the business
• Develop and execute the company's strategy for the Danish market
• Coordinate key business functions and ensure operational readiness for the full-scale launch
• Work closely with the existing team and take ownership of key decisions and priorities

• Proven experience in the payments industry, in either low-risk or high-risk segments
• Previous experience working with financial regulators and navigating regulatory requirements
• Strong understanding of payment business operations and the regulatory environment
• Experience in a senior leadership role, such as CEO, COO, Managing Director, or another C-level position
• Ability to work independently, make strategic decisions, and take ownership of business operations
• Must be a Danish citizen or current resident of Denmark
• Ideal candidates combine hands-on payments expertise, regulatory experience, and the ability to lead a business through its licensing and market-entry stages
