Strategic financial analyst in digital advertising

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

• Translate macroeconomic data, central bank notes, and broker forecasts into commercial insights for EMEA Large Customer Sales (LCS).
• Provide macro scenario analysis to evaluate advertiser demand shifts across core EMEA markets.
• Evaluate quarterly competitive dynamics across digital ad formats and cross-border disruptors.
• Conduct Alphabet and competitor earnings readouts highlighting market share shifts and industry growth.
• Maintain category mapping rules and dataset integrity in Connect Sales SoW repositories.
• Conduct macro horizon scanning and regulatory risk sizing with Legal, GTM and Government Affairs.
• Quantify financial exposure bounds and scenario models for Leadership Reviews.
• Feed macroeconomic insights into central executive storytelling and strategic narratives.
• Perform impact sizing and diagnostics for pilots and strategic workstreams.
• Deploy Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents to automate ingestion and synthesis of market research.

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in research, commercial finance, management consulting, or economic analysis.
• Experience in evaluating macroeconomic trends (e.g., Gross Domestic Product, interest rates, Consumer Price Index, Foreign Exchange, advertising market forecasts) and translating them into business recommendations.
• Experience with data extraction and processing using SQL (e.g., relational datasets).
