Finance Operations & FP&A

Retalent Agency is a global remote recruitment agency that connects professionals with companies in e-commerce, marketing, and tech. Since 2019, it has helped candidates from Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia, and South Africa find remote roles with international teams. Its client is a global retailer that sources high-demand products unavailable or prohibitively expensive in certain regions and uses a global supply chain to make them accessible to consumers at competitive prices.

• Own monthly P&L, budget vs. actual, cash flow forecasting, and KPI reporting for the COO and CEO
• Monitor P&L, reconciliations, and margin data to identify inconsistencies
• Map and improve finance processes, close gaps, and strengthen controls across internal and external systems
• Drive automation and AI adoption to reduce manual work and enable higher-value analysis
• Partner with Commercial and Supply Chain on COGS visibility and SKU- and channel-level profitability
• Oversee payroll operations through automated tools and external providers
• Advise Commercial, Purchasing, Operations, and Warehousing on financial matters

• 4–8 Years of experience in FP&A, controlling, finance operations, audit, or a controller role
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining P&L, cash flow, budgets, and forecasts
• Experience working with external accountants, tax advisors, or accounting providers
• Proven experience automating finance processes
• Strong understanding of P&L, cash flow, budget vs. actual, variance analysis, management reporting, and monthly close logic
• Knowledge of accruals, AR/AP, bank reconciliation, cut-off, COGS, and gross margin, with the ability to challenge accounting data
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems, advanced Excel or Google Sheets, structured reporting, and messy data from multiple sources
• Ability to improve recurring finance workflows, document processes, and reduce manual dependency
• Ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders and support decisions with numbers
• Curiosity and willingness to use AI, automation tools, and modern workflows to improve finance processes
• Hands-on, structured, detail-oriented, and proactive; comfortable with ambiguity and working directly with the COO without a management buffer
