finance manager in machinery manufacturing

La Marzocco Deutschland operates in machinery manufacturing as part of an international group.

• Run the finance department to ensure smooth and efficient business operations;
• Maintain effective communication with other departments;
• Improve company procedures and day-to-day operations;
• Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS;
• Prepare associated financial reports;
• Reconcile general ledger accounts;
• Record month-end accounting entries, including accruals and prepaid expenses;
• Manage inventory and related financial implications;
• Monitor and support invoicing, dunning, aged debtor management, and account reconciliation;
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial systems;
• Support future financial system developments;
• Manage the further development of SAP and other IT systems;
• Prepare annual budgets and budget reviews;
• Perform controlling activities;
• Plan cash flow;
• Release payment runs;
• Act as the contact person for banks, auditors, and tax advisors;
• Prepare VAT and statistical reports.

• Be proactive, organised, flexible, personable, trustworthy, and hardworking;
• Solve problems and maintain a positive, courteous, and helpful approach;
• Demonstrate accuracy and strong attention to detail;
• Manage time effectively, plan and prioritise workload, and meet deadlines;
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, databases, and internet usage;
• Hold a degree in Accounting;
• Have SAP knowledge;
• Have IFRS knowledge;
• Have experience with consolidation systems;
• Demonstrate a “Can do attitude” and drive;
• Have at least 2–3 years of proven experience in a similar role in manufacturing or at a Big Four audit company;
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills;
• Be fluent in English and German.
