Hal Leonard, which joined Muse Group in 2023, publishes sheet music and music education materials and distributes instruments, gear, and software to the music trade worldwide.

• Build and scale the global Finance organization
• Create a Finance function that delivers reliable execution, practical insight, strong controls, clear cash visibility, and greater operating leverage
• Own the execution and delivery of Finance work that supports Muse’s commercial ambition and enterprise governance
• Build the Finance domain within Muse Operating System
• Strengthen the Finance function from the bottom up and make the company easier to run as it scales

• Strong understanding of AI-enabled workflows, automation, modern operating systems, and how technology increases organizational leverage
• Track record of building scalable operating models, simplifying complexity, reducing manual work, and improving business performance
• Strong business judgment and ability to translate financial information into clear operating decisions
• Senior Finance leadership experience in a complex, multi-entity, international business
• Strong foundation across accounting, controllership, financial reporting, controls, FP&A, treasury, tax, and Finance operations
• Experience improving Finance processes, systems, reporting cadence, controls, business support, and execution discipline
• Experience partnering effectively with executive teams and business leaders
• Track record of building teams, developing strong leaders, and increasing output without simply adding headcount
