Data analyst in securities settlement

You will join Amaris Consulting as a Data Analyst within the securities settlement scope in Lisbon. In this role, you will contribute to pre- and post-settlement activities, clearing, custody, legal documentation follow-up, and transaction-related accounting for securities, while supporting operational efficiency and risk control.

• Monitor the settlement of securities transactions and associated financial products.
• Follow up on instructions across international markets until settlement, in coordination with local and global custodians.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations between internal systems and local custodians.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve reconciliation breaks.
• Maintain referential data accuracy in coordination with the relevant teams.
• Manage stock forecasts, including cross-border operations, fail coverage borrows, and related records.
• Contribute to the reduction of settlement costs and operational risks.
• Update procedures, complete operational checklists, and escalate issues to the Team Leader when appropriate.

• Experience in banking and financial operations, ideally within securities settlement, clearing, custody, or reconciliation activities, with 1 to 2 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• English fluent.
• Strong risk awareness and ability to apply operational controls in a financial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are demonstrated in daily work.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly in both written and oral formats.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
• Client-focused mindset and ability to respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Ability to understand, explain, and support change in an operational environment.
