Accountant in healthcare

• Maintaining accurate records of facility financial activity
• Posting and reviewing monthly revenue
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Completing monthly close and quality checklists
• Reviewing monthly P&Ls
• Collaborating with other finance operations teams
• Collaborating with internal departments to resolve issues
• Proactively informing management of concerns or barriers to meeting timelines
• Preparing accurate and timely reports for management and clients
• Working together with a senior/supervisor on the client's projected annual revenue, expense, and staffing budget
• Reviewing the final budget to confirm with management
• Participating in training new employees
• Recommending new processes to your supervisor to assist workflow
• Compiling data for external audits, reviews, and tax filings
• Reviewing bank BBCs

• A BS in accounting or current enrollment pursuing a BS in accounting.
• An understanding of accounting processes to ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Basic accounting knowledge with a readiness to expand on that knowledge.
• The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and operate independently.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn new systems and policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
