accountant for a Cyprus SaaS entity

The company operates an international IT SaaS business with a Cyprus entity and a growing international team.

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for the Cyprus entity in Xero, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close;
• Prepare and file VAT, VIES returns, and other statutory filings under Cyprus tax requirements;
• Liaise with external auditors and provide documentation and support throughout the annual audit process;
• Process monthly payroll for approximately 45 employees and contractors accurately and on time;
• Ensure payroll compliance with Cyprus labor law, social insurance, and tax withholding requirements;
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of transfer pricing documentation under statutory requirements.

• Be based in Cyprus;
• Have 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally including payroll responsibilities;
• Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
• Have strong knowledge of IFRS;
• Understand Cyprus tax regulations and statutory filing requirements;
• Have hands-on experience with Xero or similar accounting systems;
• Have strong English proficiency at C1 or higher;
• Pay strong attention to detail and manage multiple deadlines;
• Work independently and take ownership of the full accounting cycle;
• Be proficient in MS Excel and adaptable to learning new AI tools;
• Nice to have: studying towards ACCA/ACA/CPA, experience liaising with external auditors and managing audit processes, experience in the IT / SaaS industry.
