solutions engineer in identity security

• Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to expand technical discovery and map Teleport’s capabilities to customer initiatives
• Architect and deliver demos and proof-of-concepts showcasing Teleport’s differentiation through Zero Trust principles, identity governance, and identity security
• Advise engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, and security leaders
• Advise on protecting sensitive datasets and model endpoints with identity-based controls
• Position Teleport as a solution for eliminating API keys and static tokens in machine pipelines
• Support customers exploring AI/LLM use cases, including secure infrastructure for training and inference workloads
• Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering on feature gaps and market needs
• Collaborate with Marketing on thought leadership around identity and AI security
• Support channel and technology partners with technical enablement
• Contribute to go-to-market activities, including marketing collateral, product positioning, customer interviews, sales cycle optimization, conferences, brand evangelism, and meetups
• Listen to feedback and use it as an opportunity to improve
• Demonstrate empathy, resilience, and humility

• 5+ Years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, DevSecOps, or a highly technical customer-facing role
• Experience using, configuring, and debugging Linux machines and network issues
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, including hands-on troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of at least one cloud computing platform
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure security at scale, including source control, code reviews, unit testing, and agile principles
• Advanced understanding of identity security and modern Zero Trust approaches
• Ability to develop scripts and automation using Linux shell, Go, and Infrastructure as Code tools
• Strong understanding of system architecture, provisioning, and administration
• Familiarity with AI/LLM infrastructure, including GPU clusters, data governance, inference workloads, ML pipelines, and related security requirements
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including troubleshooting complex issues
• Ability to engage technical and executive stakeholders with credibility and clarity
• Strong presentation, demo, and whiteboarding skills
