• Define a brand-new Node.js runtime protection product line, including interception scope and customer-visible functionality;
• Determine the instrumentation strategy, deployment model, and programming language;
• Build the product end to end using the provided tooling and development infrastructure;
• Define the methodology for validating detection logic;
• Integrate threat intelligence from the existing security stack;
• Drive research and development for the product;
• Act as the PM, architect, lead engineer, and QA for the product;
• Ship the product to real customer fleets and monitor telemetry;
• Optimize runtime overhead, false positives, false negatives, and customer-escalation volume;
• Own the work and outcome through hands-on daily execution.

• Know the Node.js runtime and JavaScript ecosystem;
• Have strong web application security fundamentals and current practical exploitation knowledge;
• Understand how detection rules behave at scale across legitimate code;
• Independently drive research and development of a new product;
• Work autonomously as the PM, architect, lead engineer, and QA, asking for resources or help when needed;
• Nice to have: directing AI coding agents to high-quality output, runtime-protection products, application firewalls, instrumentation tooling, malware analysis, incident response, managed-hosting environments, public security research, vulnerability disclosures, authored detection rulesets.
