Platform engineer in energy

We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer to take responsibility for platform stability, operations, automation, and continuous improvement.

• Think of platforms as an internal product and develop them further, working closely with development teams to enable efficient, standardized, self-service workflows and systems that are easy to deploy, support, and operate.
• Take responsibility for the stability and operation of central platform and infrastructure components.
• Contribute to container, infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD processes based on Docker and Docker Compose as a foundation for stable, standardized, and repeatable operations.
• Critically analyze existing systems, processes, and architectures, focusing on risks, vulnerabilities, and potential improvements.
• Standardize and gradually consolidate established platform structures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, operational processes, and architecture overviews.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits by building transparency, traceability, and compliance-ready documentation.
• Further develop monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational transparency, including establishing and standardizing observability standards based on OpenTelemetry and Prometheus.

• Several years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or a comparable infrastructure role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Linux, containers, and production operations.
• Experience with incident response, production debugging, monitoring, logging, and operational decision-making.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, deployment automation, and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to work in complex system landscapes, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvements.
• Clear communication in English and willingness to collaborate regularly with the team in Berlin.
