platform engineer in cloud infrastructure

The company is a growing B2B SaaS business in Berlin that provides a shared cloud platform for multiple product engineering teams.

• Build and evolve shared platform infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes;
• Design scalable and reliable environments for multiple product engineering teams;
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform;
• Develop platform tooling and automation in Go and/or Python;
• Build and improve CI/CD and GitOps workflows;
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and environment management;
• Improve Kubernetes reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency;
• Create reusable platform components and engineering standards;
• Improve observability across cloud infrastructure and services;
• Reduce manual operational work through automation and self-service tooling;
• Support engineering teams with deployment, infrastructure, and production challenges;
• Help shape the technical direction and architecture of the platform as the company scales.

• 5+ Years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, or a similar role;
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes;
• Strong knowledge of AWS;
• Strong knowledge of Terraform;
• Experience with Go and/or Python;
• Experience with GitOps;
• Experience with CI/CD;
• Knowledge of Linux and cloud-native infrastructure;
• Strong understanding of distributed production environments;
• Nice to have: Argo CD / Flux, Helm, Backstage, Prometheus / Grafana / OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes Operators, Crossplane, AWS EKS, Docker / container platforms, Platform APIs, Internal Developer Platforms, experience building self-service infrastructure for engineering teams.
