Catawiki is a marketplace for buying and selling special objects. More than 100,000 unique items are auctioned each week, curated by in-house experts, and over 25 million unique objects have been sold.

• Build and improve platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to develop, deploy, and operate applications at scale;
• Build a self-service developer platform focused on developer experience;
• Design and maintain platforms that abstract complexity and provide tools to deploy, monitor, and optimise applications;
• Orchestrate cloud-native infrastructure and manage Kubernetes clusters and other cloud resources;
• Improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency through FinOps practices;
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and reusable templates;
• Apply fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and scaling practices;
• Improve platform operations usage and enhance the observability stack;
• Monitor platform health and resolve incidents proactively;
• Partner with product teams to understand their needs and build simple, impactful solutions;
• Champion cloud-native best practices across Catawiki.

• At least 5 years of production experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure;
• Experience automating workflows and CI/CD pipelines;
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible;
• Hands-on experience using and maintaining Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry;
• Strong ownership of platform issues, scalability, and resilience;
• Ability to work effectively with developers and cross-functional teams;
• Continuous learning in cloud-native tools, technologies, and practices;
• Nice to have: measuring meaningful outcomes, gradual change management, failure-oriented learning, tooling and automation to reduce toil, knowledge sharing.
