• Design, build, operate, and support the company’s Kubernetes platform across on-premises and multiple cloud environments;
• Build, operate, and evolve on-premises VM-based Kubernetes clusters;
• Build, operate, and evolve public cloud Kubernetes clusters using AWS EKS, GCP GKE, Azure AKS, and Oracle OKE;
• Own cluster lifecycle management, including provisioning, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning;
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform modules;
• Automate cluster bootstrap and configuration;
• Implement and operate GitOps workflows for platform components;
• Integrate Kubernetes capabilities into the Internal Developer Platform (IDP);
• Establish standard cluster and namespace patterns;
• Integrate approved ingress, secrets, and observability solutions;
• Participate in a rotational on-call/support model for platform-level incidents;
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes platform issues and improve reliability;
• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational standards;
• Collaborate with IDP, application support, infrastructure, and security teams.

• Strong hands-on experience operating production Kubernetes environments;
• Experience with on-premises, VM-based infrastructure;
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes internals;
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform;
• Experience working with multiple cloud environments, with deep expertise in at least one;
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and GitOps tools;
• Proven ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and production issues;
• Ownership mindset and accountability for platform outcomes;
• Generalist approach across infrastructure, Kubernetes, and operations;
• Strong problem-solving skills for ambiguous and complex issues;
• Ability to explain technical topics effectively;
• Ability to collaborate across teams and share responsibility;
• Ability to remain effective during incidents and outages;
• Documentation-driven approach and commitment to knowledge sharing;
• Nice to have: experience with multiple managed Kubernetes services (EKS, GKE, AKS, OKE), experience running Kubernetes on-premises (bare metal or VM-based), observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, logging systems, Open Telemetry), ingress and traffic management, secrets and certificate management, integrating infrastructure platforms into an Internal Developer Platform (IDP), SRE concepts (SLOs, error budgets, incident response).
