Network & security engineer in IT infrastructure

As an SG Engineer, you will be part of SEIDOR's Network Security & Connectivity unit, where we drive the secure digital transformation of organizations, combining over 25 years of experience in networks, security and connectivity with a comprehensive vision focused on people, data and innovation. We design, implement and manage intelligent infrastructures that connect, protect and optimize technology environments, from the workplace and datacenter to the hybrid or multicloud. Our team provides end-to-end services covering IT network and security consulting, design, deployment, operation and automation.

• Support NSOC Administrators - Level 2 throughout your learning process.
• Carry out the tasks assigned by the NSOC Technical Team Leader in the following areas:
• Analyze and operate monitoring systems to proactively handle alerts, resolve them or identify anomalies.
• Evaluate and triage alerts for documentation, resolution and subsequent escalation to the relevant support groups.
• Handle assigned requests, changes and incidents, ensuring that service levels are met.
• Manage and supervise assigned tickets, documenting all related activities and updating statuses and priority levels in the ITSM tool.
• Handle complex or non-procedural preventive actions to assess the status of the systems in scope.
• Prepare complex or critical reports, newly created procedures and advanced technical instructions.
• Manage and supervise the NSOC-KB (Wiki), requesting updates or modifications from the NSOC L2 - L1 - L0 teams.
• Plan, design, implement and close projects assigned to this role based on their nature and within the competencies of NSOC or PET.
• Work with the onsite service team to gain in-depth knowledge of the architectures, technologies and services in scope, as well as the technical procedures needed to meet the objectives of the contracted service.
• Be the reference engineer for this service within NSOC.
• Develop, evolve and improve the technical operating procedures for the Administration and Operations levels that will carry out service tasks.
• Conduct recurring knowledge-transfer sessions (brainstorming, workshops...) with all technical members involved in the remote service team (NSOC + 24/7 on-call).

• Intermediate or advanced technical qualification.
• Bilingual in Catalan and Spanish. Basic English.
• 2/3 years of experience in network or systems operations and administration teams.
• Demonstrable intermediate/advanced knowledge and experience in at least 4 of the following areas: switching and routing, wireless, network access control systems (NAC, RADIUS, 802.1x), DNS, DHCP, NTP and IPAM systems, firewalls, anti-malware, anti-spam, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IPS/IDS).
• Demonstrable intermediate/advanced knowledge and experience in the following areas: Microsoft client operating systems, Microsoft server operating systems, Linux operating systems.
