Network engineer in financial services

Broadridge Financial Solutions is a global fintech leader delivering technology, communications, data, and analytics solutions that help financial services firms, asset managers, and public companies operate more efficiently, navigate change, and enhance client and investor experiences. The primary objective of this position is to support the Information Technology infrastructure within CQG. This includes designing and supporting a wide range of networks.

• Design, implement, operate and troubleshoot complex data networks in a multi-data center environment
• Support and manage TCP/IP, access-control lists, policy-based routing, firewalls, peering, and DNS
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot protocols such as STP, EIGRP, MPLS, Multicast, and BGP
• Support various Cisco switches and routers as well as non-Cisco devices
• Provide Tier-2/Tier-3 network support to 24x7 hosted environments
• Support and maintain administrative and technical relationships with various colocations
• Configure Quality of Service (QoS) in data/voice networks
• Analyze and research complex problems
• Monitor and manage security risks
• Monitor the network and proactively identify problems
• Work with other operations departments to troubleshoot system and application issues
• Perform network maintenance

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills
• 5–10 years of networking experience with an emphasis on operations support
• Experience working in a 24/7 production environment
• Strong knowledge of internetworking designs and applications, including IP subnetting, STP, RSTP, VLSM, security, and complex LAN/WAN routing
• Deep understanding of BGPv4, EIGRP, MPLS, IPv4, VRF, and Multicast
• Experience with network/traffic monitoring software
• Experience with colocations and hosted environments
• Cisco CCNP certification preferred
• Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects
• Fluent English is a must
