Database administrator high-transaction systems

Broadridge Financial Solutions is a global fintech leader delivering technology, communications, data, and analytics solutions that help financial services firms, asset managers, and public companies operate more efficiently, navigate change, and enhance client and investor experiences. Responsible for management, support, upgrade and monitoring of database environments supporting CQG applications, infrastructure systems and services. Define, implement and test backup & recovery standards and best practices for databases integrity, security, data protection.

• Monitor MS SQL transactional replication, SQL job executions and make corrective actions in case of problems
• Respond to ad hoc requests for data from other teams
• Maintenance and monitoring of database systems for optimal performance and availability of databases
• Design, test and implement Disaster Recovery, Backup and Restore strategies, standards and scripts
• Maintain and improve reporting and business-intelligence solutions
• Maintain and enforce corporate database security policies and controls for all database environments
• Manage hardware requirements for Production systems
• Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications to resolve database issues, assist developers, network administration, and applications support staff in diagnosing and resolving database-related application problems
• Execute regular deployments of schema and data changes to Production databases following preparation and testing by Product Development teams.
• Develop solutions to optimize monitoring and execution of regular operational procedures
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Database instances as necessary

• 4 years of experience in SQL server Database Administration
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related business area is required
• Excellent problem-solving skills, a self-starting attitude and good communication skills in English are essential
• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment as a member of the production support team
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Experience maintaining high-availability systems (7x24x365)
• Experience with Backup & Recovery, Security, Performance monitoring and tuning
• Будет плюсом: Experience working with databases with high-transaction volume in a fast-paced, production environment is preferred; Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Server administration, security administration, network administration, and application development is a plus; Any experience with PostgreSQL and CassandraDB is welcome
