Network and security engineer

• Integration into a team responsible for running and supporting network infrastructures and security services for corporate customers.
• Configuration of monitoring systems, namely Zabbix
• Troubleshooting of network, connectivity and performance incidents
• Rollout and tuning of network, security and access equipment
• Emphasis on service uptime, stability and quality
• Coordination of technical work with in-house teams and third-party suppliers
• Involvement in continuous improvement and technology evolution projects
• Maintenance of technical documentation and operating procedures
• Expert technical support to corporate customers, with advice and network changes subject to prior customer sign-off.
• Future integration into the standby and on-call team, subject to the Team Leader's assessment of readiness.

• Over 3 years of experience in support, operation or administration of enterprise networks and/or security
• Solid knowledge of IP networking: routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
• Hands-on setup of network monitoring and diagnostics, namely with Zabbix
• Knowledge of firewalls, network security and cybersecurity best practices
• Configuration and management of network equipment
• Analytical and problem-solving skills in critical environments
• European Portuguese and English at B2 level
• Accountability and a customer-focused mindset
• Planning and prioritization of workload
• Effective communication with both technical and functional audiences
• Initiative and appetite for emerging technologies
