MS SQL DBA for trading systems

The team works on client connectivity trading systems and a multi-year project to modernize existing connectivity platforms using a DevOps-driven delivery approach.

• Administer, maintain, and support SQL Server 2016+ environments
• Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity to ensure stable and efficient operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve database, server, and infrastructure issues
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative and operational tasks
• Perform database maintenance, backup, recovery, and patching
• Support production environments through an on-call/support rota, including weekends
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams during incidents, releases, and handovers
• Work with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders across the globe
• Dedicate most of the time to development activities, including coding, design, configuration management, releases, and post-implementation support

• 5–10 Years of experience as a Database Administrator
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ administration and support
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server Administration
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
• Skills in database backup, recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to participate in support rotations and weekend support activities
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Будет плюсом: experience supporting Data Warehouse (DWH) environments, knowledge of SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions including Always On, Clustering, and Replication, familiarity with monitoring and performance management tools, experience with ETL processes and data integration platforms, understanding of ITIL processes and production support best practices, experience in enterprise-level mission-critical environments
