infrastructure engineer in professional services

DGH Recruitment recruits infrastructure and cloud engineering professionals for clients in the Professional Services industry.

• Research, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions for business challenges;
• Architect, engineer, and deploy technical solutions to production, including detailed architectural design documentation;
• Work with the Information Security team to meet best practice and compliance requirements;
• Transition systems to Operations teams through documentation and technical staff training;
• Lead technical projects and sub-projects across the department;
• Serve as a subject matter expert and internal consultant for technical staff and groups;
• Act as the top-level escalation owner, working with external vendors and consultants to resolve issues and produce root cause analysis reports;
• Triage and prioritize tasks, projects, and issues in a demanding environment.

• Broad understanding of industry standards for infrastructure technologies;
• Expert knowledge of storage and virtualization technologies, Windows and Linux operating systems, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, and related infrastructure technologies;
• Strong infrastructure troubleshooting skills;
• Strong understanding of PowerShell and general scripting and automation;
• Strong understanding of health and status monitoring for mission-critical systems;
• Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) in hybrid environments;
• Good understanding of networking for troubleshooting;
• High-level understanding of security technologies, including encryption in flight and at rest, privilege management, and CIS compliance;
• Nice to have: Storage and virtualization experience with Nutanix, Linux, Proxmox, and Azure.
