devops engineer Infrastructure

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure using Nomad and Kubernetes;
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and monitoring;
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of applications;
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure for maximum efficiency;
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards;
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve system reliability through scripting and configuration management;
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders;
• Implement Unix/Linux security hardening, including sudoers, PAM, SSH, file permissions/ACLs, umask, service exposure, firewall rules, audit logging, account lifecycle, key management, vulnerability remediation, and CIS/vendor baseline alignment where applicable;
• Support enterprise authentication and access integration, including LDAP/AD integration, SSSD/realmd where applicable, Kerberos awareness, local break-glass accounts, and privileged access procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong Linux background;
• Expertise in container orchestration and management using Nomad and Kubernetes;
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Ruby;
• Experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet;
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI;
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and Terraform;
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Fluent or professional working proficiency in English;
• Nice to have: Fluent or professional working proficiency in French, fluent or professional working proficiency in Dutch.
