devops engineer in Sovereign Cloud

• Design, implement, monitor, maintain, and optimize the SAP Sovereign Cloud system landscape for Germany;
• Set up multi-system landscape architecture and integrations between heterogeneous system technologies;
• Provide on-call support for incidents and performance degradations;
• Continuously improve implementation documentation;
• Partner with the engineering team to design and enhance cloud operation processes.

• Growing ability to work independently on technical issues;
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work alongside experienced engineers across different time zones;
• Solid working knowledge of GitLab;
• Foundational hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible;
• Good working knowledge of Linux, including SUSE;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and workflows;
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Python, or BASH scripting;
• Intermediate experience with hyperscaler services, cloud computing concepts, and databases;
• Developing debugging and troubleshooting skills with a genuine interest in solving technical problems;
• Ability to manage competing tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call duties and shifts;
• Willingness to undergo a governmental security clearance process due to the potentially classified nature of the work;
• Nice to have: Hashicorp Vault, Argo CD, GitOps, experience building, implementing, or supporting multitenant solutions, exposure to cloud operations of at least one SAP solution such as HCM, BTP, or SAC.
