DevOps engineer in investment banking

Our investment banking client is undertaking a major technology build-out across Capital Markets, alongside an agentic AI rollout, and is looking for a strong DevOps Engineer to join its Core Platforms team within Global Markets. You’ll help build and run the Kubernetes environments underpinning a large-scale distributed technology estate, working closely with engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable production infrastructure.

• Set up, configure and maintain Kubernetes environments.
• Manage production platforms, supporting reliability, scalability and availability.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and containerised application issues.
• Support engineering teams as new services and platform capabilities are introduced.

• Previous experience working within investment banking.
• Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems in complex production environments.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes expertise, including setting up and managing production clusters.
• A strong DevOps or platform engineering background.
• Proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to take ownership of critical infrastructure.
• Strong commercial experience using AI coding tools as part of your day-to-day engineering workflow.
• Proven ability to use AI to build, test, debug and deliver code, scripts or infrastructure automation.
• Ability to critically review AI-generated outputs for correctness, security and maintainability.
• Hands-on delivery experience beyond personal projects or occasional experimentation.
