DevOps engineer in acoustic simulations

EvoLogics is an innovative high-tech company based in Berlin. We develop and market products and key technologies worldwide in maritime and offshore technology. Our expertise includes robotics (USV, AUV and ROV), high-tech sensors, artificial intelligence, advanced computer science, communications technology and positioning.

• Infrastructure for simulation: Build and maintain on-premise or hybrid cloud computing clusters for acoustic simulations. Implement job schedulers to distribute computing resources fairly and efficiently between teams.
• CI/CD pipeline development: Design and maintain continuous integration pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI). Automate build processes for Embedded Linux, FPGA bitstreams and Windows GUIs.
• Test infrastructure (HiL): Connect physical test benches (water tanks, modems) to the CI pipeline. Develop mechanisms to automatically flash firmware onto hardware and report test results.
• Data management (DataOps): Manage large volumes of acoustic measurement data. Implement data versioning systems and ensure performant access for training AI models.

• Completed degree (Bachelor's/Master's) in computer science, computer engineering, physics or a comparable qualification with a strong focus on IT infrastructure
• At least 3–5 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, system administrator in a research environment or Build Engineer
• Excellent knowledge of Linux administration, shell scripting and Python
• Confident handling of container technologies (Docker, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
• Solid experience with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
• Understanding of high-performance computing workflows
• Basic understanding of embedded hardware (UART, JTAG, SSH) for conducting automated tests on real devices
• German and English, spoken and written
