DevOps engineer for high-traffic consumer platforms

Be the first dedicated DevOps engineer for consumer platforms with serious traffic every day. You own the Kubernetes stack, with real freedom and direct impact on every dev team. My client is a Dutch tech company running several high-traffic consumer platforms. The platform is live and stable. Now it needs someone to make it better.

• Run and improve Kubernetes in the cloud: clusters, node pools, ingress and certificates
• Build CI/CD pipelines in GitLab with Helm and plenty of automation
• Set up monitoring and alerting, so issues are caught before users notice
• Keep base images, patches, secrets and Terraform infrastructure up to date
• Handle incidents and work with developers on performance and reliability

• Hands-on experience running Kubernetes in production, on GCP or AWS
• You're comfortable building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Helm and setting up monitoring and alerting
• You take ownership and fix things without waiting for a ticket
• You enjoy working closely with developers and learning across the whole stack
• You speak enough Dutch for small talk at lunch. Fluent is not required.
• You don't need to tick every box.

• Salary: up to €6,000 gross per month, plus 8% holiday allowance.
• 32, 36 or 40 hours, 2x a week in the office, based in Amsterdam.
