DevOps engineer for digital identity

We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer to join the Amadeus Travel Ready project, a digital identity platform that helps airlines and airports simplify passenger verification and border compliance through mobile and cloud-based technologies. The platform operates on a cloud-native Microsoft Azure architecture, supporting mobile SDKs and highly available backend services for critical airline use cases. As the platform enters a period of production growth and increasing technical complexity, you will play a key role in strengthening its reliability, delivery automation, security, observability, and operational maturity.

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting mobile SDKs and backend services.
• Automate build, integration, testing, packaging, and deployment processes.
• Implement reliable deployment workflows across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Improve pipeline security, execution speed, traceability, and maintainability.
• Reduce manual deployment activities and operational risk.
• Support controlled releases, rollback processes, and production validation.
• Implement and improve GitOps practices for platform configuration and application deployment.
• Maintain declarative environment configurations through Git.
• Use Helm to package, configure, and deploy applications.
• Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure running on Microsoft Azure.
• Ensure cloud resources are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-conscious.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and connectivity issues.
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Improve cluster and application resilience.
• Define and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Develop reusable and maintainable Infrastructure as Code modules.
• Automate the provisioning of environments and platform services.
• Implement and improve platform monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Build actionable dashboards and alerts.
• Improve troubleshooting through centralized logs, metrics, and traces.
• Support production environments and ensure platform availability.
• Investigate and resolve incidents across cloud, Kubernetes, application, and pipeline layers.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective-action definition.
• Improve platform resilience and reduce recurring operational issues.
• Support capacity planning, performance improvements, and platform scalability.

• 3–6 years of relevant experience for Advanced profiles; more than 6 years of relevant experience for Senior profiles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Solid production experience with Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, and GitOps.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience with Argo CD, Flux CD, or equivalent GitOps solutions.
• Experience deploying applications using Helm.
• Knowledge of cloud storage, networking, and identity concepts.
• Experience with production operations and incident resolution.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices.
• Experience managing secrets with HashiCorp Vault or a comparable solution.
• Knowledge of artifact management using Artifactory, NuGet, or similar repositories.
• Understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and backend architectures.
• Experience supporting automated integration, performance, load, or stress testing.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
• Availability to work on-site in Carnaxide approximately 50% of the week.
• Ability to independently identify and drive platform improvements.
• Strong sense of accountability for production reliability.
