devops engineer for Data & AI

EY is a global consulting firm helping businesses, organisations, and communities realise their potential through audit, consulting, legal, strategy, tax, and transaction services. Its Technology Consulting team supports large financial institutions, asset management companies, insurance companies, and other organisations with large-scale transformation programmes.

• Design, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and AI workloads;
• Automate Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools;
• Work with containers, orchestration, and cloud-native tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Container Apps;
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data processing pipelines;
• Define and estimate the scope of work needed to implement data and AI systems;
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements for DevOps and Data & AI solutions;
• Collaborate with data engineers to optimise data and AI clusters, jobs, and workflows;
• Collaborate, support, and share knowledge within the team;
• Support side initiatives such as workshops, proofs of concept, and product shows;
• Use EYQ and other EY AI-powered tools after completing training sessions.

• Very good English in verbal and written communication;
• Willingness to develop a career in DevOps and Data & AI;
• Excellent collaboration skills for working with teammates and stakeholders;
• Ability to plan, track, and report deliverable status;
• At least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, computer science, or a similar field;
• Understanding of Microsoft Cloud Services, especially Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, Azure Key Vault, VNET, Storage Accounts, Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor;
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep;
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and Git-based workflows;
• Familiarity with Python or Bash for scripting and automation;
• Understanding of containerisation with Docker;
• Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL concepts, and data orchestration;
• Nice to have: understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana and Prometheus, exposure to Kubernetes, basic knowledge of Spark in Databricks, experience building data analytics solutions with Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake, interest in AI, prompt engineering, or LLM-based solutions.
