• Lead development and maintenance of the Terraform mls-infrastructure repository, including modules, plan/apply CI components, and the Cloud Run deploy guard;
• Design and maintain GKE cluster infrastructure through Flux and ArgoCD;
• Implement per-job Workload Identity Federation for secure, credential-free CI/GCP access;
• Build reusable Terraform modules for GCP resources, including Cloud Run, GCS, Pub/Sub, and MongoDB Atlas;
• Contribute to and extend the pipelines-mip shared GitLab CI template library;
• Drive the full build, scan, and deploy cycle, including image builds, GitOps hand-off, and Cloud Run version management;
• Manage cross-project pipeline triggers, deploy guards, Protected Environments, and code owners;
• Design and maintain Grafana dashboards, Prometheus alerting, Loki log aggregation, and Tempo tracing;
• Operate Sentry for application error tracking and DefectDojo for security finding management;
• Contribute to defining and tracking SLOs and SLIs;
• Support improvements in platform reliability and incident recovery time;
• Support P0/P1 incident response and contribute to actionable RCAs;
• Run the security pipeline, including Trivy container scanning, SAST, secret detection, and SBOMs;
• Maintain and improve GCP IAM, GKE private networking, Cloud Armor, and Google Secret Manager hygiene;
• Track and remediate CVEs and drive container curation and base-image hygiene;
• Use AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and Cursor daily for infrastructure work;
• Integrate AI tooling into CI/CD workflows for automated documentation, AI-assisted code review, and incident triage;
• Share AI-driven productivity patterns with the team and grow collective capability;
• Act as the go-to contact for development teams on CI/CD, GCP, Kubernetes, and security topics;
• Review infrastructure and CI/CD Merge Requests thoroughly and promptly;
• Mentor Junior DevOps Engineers and onboard new team members to the MLS infrastructure stack;
• Keep documentation, runbooks, and AGENTS.md files current and actionable;
• Serve as a primary contributor in the Infrastructure Delivery and Architecture workstream;
• Drive infrastructure architectural transitions, AI and new capability enablement, developer experience and CI/CD improvements, and proactive security engineering;
• Produce change summaries and runbook documentation for significant deliverables, handing off operational ownership to the reliability and operations stream;
• Participate in the weekly workstream sync and Monthly Focus Meeting;
• Coordinate cross-stream dependencies with the reliability and operations stream.

• 2+ Years of Kubernetes and GKE experience, including GitOps and managed and unmanaged environments;
• 2+ Years of Google Cloud Platform experience with GKE, Cloud Run, GCS, and IAM;
• 2+ Years of Terraform IaC experience, including module authoring and plan/apply workflows;
• 2+ Years of GitLab CI/CD pipeline development experience;
• 1+ Years of ArgoCD or comparable GitOps tool experience;
• 2+ Years of experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki;
• 1+ Years of security scanning and CVE remediation experience;
• 3+ Years of Linux system operations experience;
• 2+ Years of Python or Go experience for infrastructure automation;
• Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants in a professional workflow;
• Fluent spoken and written English.
