devops engineer for a social network

The project is a social network that operates without ads, gives users control over their feeds, and provides creative communities with room to grow. It uses a modern technology stack for large-scale, real-time data processing.

• Own infrastructure design, delivery, and operations across the cloud platform;
• Operate production environments across multiple AWS accounts and EKS clusters;
• Partner with engineering, product, security, and data teams to deliver reliable solutions;
• Drive observability, reliability, cost efficiency, and developer experience;
• Integrate AI tooling into daily engineering workflows.

• 5+ Years of relevant experience;
• Hands-on expertise across AWS, EKS, ECS, Lambda, Batch, S3, ECR, RDS, VPC, CloudFront, SNS, SQS, IAM, SCP, and AWS Workspaces;
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and orchestration tools including ArgoCD, Argo Events, Helm, Karpenter, KEDA, Cilium, Linkerd, and ECS;
• Experience with Terraform;
• Experience with Kafka, Flink, Cassandra, StarRocks, EMR, Valkey, and OpenSearch;
• Experience with Prometheus, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Alloy;
• Experience with Cloudflare and CloudFront;
• Experience with Vault, Cloudflare Zero Trust, WARP, and JumpCloud (SCIM);
• Experience with GitLab and Harbor;
• Experience with gRPC, Protobuf, Linkerd, and Cilium;
• Experience with GrowthBook;
• Ability to make independent decisions and move work forward with minimal oversight;
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication across distributed teams;
• Practical fluency with modern AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, and agents;
• Upper-Intermediate or Advanced English;
• Nice to have: familiarity with Karpenter, Cilium, Helm, KEDA, GitOps, Flink, StarRocks, EMR, OpenSearch, Valkey, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, k6, Vault, Boundary, Zero Trust, mTLS, SCIM, Linkerd, or eBPF networking.
